At The Roots Foundation,we are working towards pedagogical transformation in schools.. We make the curriculum real, contextual, experiential, meaningful, and above all, joyful.The Roots Foundation helps learners find meaning in their curriculum and make connections between various subjects and in turn connect subjects to real life, making classroom learning real. We create experiences that are inter-disciplinary and skill based, using visual and performing arts, and language as medium for learning and teaching. This gives children an opportunity to experience and learn through all their five senses and test it in real life situations.

We believe that each one of us is curious, unique and has an innate need to learn. We help each child to discover and excel in his/her uniqueness. It is through this endeavour that we want to enable children to learn for life through life. Thus creating conscientious, accountable and active citizens for our count

Q. Can we use THF (The Roots Foundation) pedagogy with CBSE/NCERT curriculum?

A. Yes, as we teach pedagogy with the existing/standard curriculum. We use the prescribed course material.

Q. Does your pedagogy align with NEP 2020?

A. Yes, completely. Our pedagogy is in complete alignment with NEP 2020. We have 15 years’ experience and research in this field. Our team has worked with some of the well-known schools in India.

Q. Does experiential and real-life pedagogy means students would learn only with outdoor activities?

A. No. It is based in the classroom.

Q. Does it require more teaching hours?

A. No. It is done in the given subject hours.

Q. Does experiential and real-life pedagogy mean extra topics that are more than prescribed by CBSE?

A. No, as it is a pedagogy (way of teaching) and not a new curriculum.

Q. Can teachers of any board use this pedagogy?

A. Yes.

Q. With what grade can we start using this pedagogy?

A. As early as nursery

Q. Can we use this pedagogy for middle school even though we have contemporary style in junior school?

A. Yes

Q. Do we need to change the pedagogy of the entire school at the same time?

A. No. It depends on the need and comfort of the school. We can start with just 1 grade and build along as the teachers get trained and confident in the pedagogy.
